We are a small family run kennel based on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. All our dogs live in the home with us and are much loved family pets.

Breeding for health, type and temperament are paramount to us. All Chanderhill puppies are raised in our home with a view to them going to their “forever homes” as excellent family pets. They are very much part of our day to day life.
As a veterinary surgeon, Kate knows the importance of only breeding from health tested dogs which have sound temperaments. Kate regularly works our dogs and to date, we are the only UK breeder to complete the Spanish Breed Club’s Test of Character and Natural Aptitude (the TCAN) in Spain.
We are strong believers in health testing. All our adult Spanish Water Dogs are hip scored and eye tested. They have also been DNA tested for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Congenital Hypothyroidism (CHG) and Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (NAD), which are genetic tests recommended by the Spanish Water Dog Club UK.
