Our Clean Sweep

Post placeholder image

One of our greatest days.

Saturday 25 October will go down as one of the finest days so far in the short history of our kennel. We really rocked the house at the Midland Counties Canine Society Championship Dog Show, winning a clean sweep of the top awards in the Spanish Water Dog breed classes.

Our wins included Best of Breed, Best Dog, Reserve Best Dog, Best Bitch, Reserve Best Bitch, Best Puppy in Breed and Best Opposite Sex Puppy. We haven’t been going long enough to have a veteran, otherwise we may also have won Best Veteran!

Best of Breed was our boy wonder, Otto (Otto De Aronagua Del Chanderhill); his second Best of Breed at Championship level in the UK.

Best Bitch was our young homebred girl, Pickle (Chanderhill Bit of a Pickle), at just 16 months’ old.

What a year Pickle has had; winning Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts in March, then in June becoming the youngest ever SWD recipient of the Kennel Club’s coveted Junior Warrant Award and also winning the European Junior Winner accolade at the European Dog Show; then earlier this month being awarded the Reserve Obligatory Point in Spain and becoming the first British born SWD to pass the Spanish Breed Club’s TCAN natural aptitude test!

Best Puppy in Breed was our young puppy dog, Pinto (Pabiaga’s Cupid To Chanderhill).

We have a very special team of dogs at Chanderhill.
